Supply Chain Localization Specialist

About the role

The Supply Chain Localization Specialist will own high‑impact projects that move our sourcing strategy toward local and regional suppliers. Working from our Humacao operations hub, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to qualify, develop, and transition suppliers, ensuring continuity of supply for our smart lighting and shading systems.

Key responsibilities

• Identify localization opportunities for materials, components, and services sourced externally.
• Research, evaluate, and select local or regional suppliers that meet quality, cost, capacity, and delivery criteria.
• Develop and execute supplier localization strategies and detailed project plans.
• Conduct supplier capability assessments, including quality, capacity, cost, and delivery performance.
• Support the transition of products and components from existing to localized suppliers.
• Coordinate supplier qualification activities, audits, corrective actions, and onboarding.
• Maintain up‑to‑date supplier records, qualification documentation, and project status reports.
• Participate in supplier development initiatives to improve performance and capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.08 and at least 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supplier management, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
