Spanish/Portuguese Speaking General Practitioner – Galway

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Family Medicine Specialist who is fluent in Spanish or Portuguese to join a newly established primary‑care team in Galway. The role focuses on delivering culturally competent care to the growing Spanish‑ and Portuguese‑speaking community, with a strong emphasis on women’s health services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general practice consultations for adult patients.
• Deliver women’s health services, including cervical screening and contraceptive care.
• Perform insertion and removal of contraceptive coils.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure high‑quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with Irish Medical Council standards.

Required profile

• Qualified General Practitioner with specialist registration on the Irish Medical Council.
• Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients.
• Willingness to relocate to Galway, Ireland, with an anticipated start date in August.
• Commitment to providing culturally sensitive and accessible healthcare.
