Software Engineer

About the role

JUMO is building a market‑leading Banking‑as‑a‑Service platform that enables partners to offer loans, savings and a wide range of financial products. As a Software Engineer you will design, develop and maintain highly scalable, low‑latency services that power real‑time access to funds.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end features across the software development lifecycle for a distributed system.
• Define and evolve the team roadmap in line with company and technology vision.
• Architect services using proven design patterns to support iterative, autonomous development.
• Design, implement, test, deploy and support production‑ready code.
• Review peer code, provide feedback and enforce best practices.
• Identify and communicate blockers, delays or cost overruns early.
• Contribute to documentation and drive engineering excellence.

Required profile

• Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with Kotlin, Java or Scala and cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS).
• Hands‑on experience building high‑volume, low‑latency services.
• Business and operational awareness with good communication skills.
