Software Engineer – Internal Products

About the role

Efficio is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join its internal product teams in Lisbon. You will help build and enhance tools that enable consultants to deliver faster, data‑driven recommendations in procurement, sourcing and spend analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back‑end services, APIs and databases for internal products.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers, data engineers and product managers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions, including HTMX‑driven server‑rendered UIs and embedded analytics.
• Apply best practices for code quality, scalability and performance (type checking, linting, code reviews).
• Participate in Agile sprints and daily stand‑ups with teams in Lisbon and the UK.
• Embed security and data‑protection measures, especially multi‑tenant data isolation.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software; investigate production issues across applications.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Python and Django development.
• Familiarity with AWS services (ECS, RDS, S3, SES, ECR) and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable working with server‑rendered Django templates, Tailwind CSS and HTMX.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional, international team.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and security best practices.
