Software Engineer – ETLs & Microservices

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Finance Systems Engineering team at lastminute.com. The role is fully remote from Portugal and focuses on modernising ETL processes and building scalable micro‑services that support the company’s finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Gradually replace monolithic ETL workflows with a micro‑services‑based architecture, reducing technical debt.
• Design, develop and test high‑quality micro‑services following TDD, DDD, Clean Code and SOLID principles.
• Maintain and optimise existing Talend 7/8 ETL pipelines, ensuring continuous business operations (KLO activities).
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to automate manual or recurring processes and deliver robust APIs.

Required profile

• Professional experience in software development, preferably within finance or travel‑tech environments.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
