Service Technician – Instrumentation

About the role

We are looking for a Service Technician specialized in instrumentation to deliver on‑site preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and calibration of analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC and spectrophotometers. The role involves installing instruments, training customers and documenting all service activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on analytical instruments and related mechanical/electronic equipment.
• Diagnose equipment failures, execute repairs and calibrations according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Install new instruments at customer sites and provide technical training on operation and maintenance.
• Document all service actions, product failures and recommendations in detailed reports.
• Develop and support IQ, OQ and PQ procedures and preventative maintenance programs.
• Conduct testing, data analysis and generate reports on instrument performance.
• Modify equipment, design jigs or fixtures, and perform precision adjustments using hand tools and test equipment.
• Travel to customer locations regularly, ensuring timely service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Chemistry or related field (preferred).
• Minimum three years of experience servicing analytical instrumentation.
• Fully bilingual (spoken and written).
• Valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with HPLC, GC and spectrophotometers.
• Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic/mechanical equipment.
• Calibration procedures and IQ/OQ/PQ documentation.
• Installation and customer training on analytical instruments.
• Interpretation of schematics, blueprints and technical manuals.
• Use of hand tools, precision instruments and test equipment.
• Data analysis using mathematical formulas and reporting.
