Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Talkdesk is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its engineering team that builds the next‑generation cloud‑based contact‑center platform. You will work in a micro‑service environment, collaborating with product owners and other engineers to deliver scalable, reliable APIs and services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain micro‑services and APIs using Kotlin, Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement scalable, stable solutions that support current load and future growth.
• Participate in an agile workflow with Git version control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and continuous deployment.
• Collaborate with product and cross‑functional teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Guide junior engineers, document architecture and contribute to technical decisions.
• Integrate Talkdesk with external systems via APIs, middleware and custom development while ensuring data integrity and security.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably on cloud‑based applications.
• Strong object‑oriented programming skills and experience with service‑oriented and event‑driven architectures.
