Senior MATLAB/SIMULINK Software Engineer

About the role

Bosch Home Comfort's Electric Solutions group in Aveiro is looking for a Senior MATLAB/SIMULINK Software Engineer to support the development of heat pump applications. You will work closely with engineers using model-based development approaches, helping them understand how their software is designed, implemented, tested, integrated and maintained, and shaping reliable tools and workflows that make continuous software development easier.

Key responsibilities

• Design and improve workflows that support software teams from early development and integration through testing and delivery.
• Automate builds, tests, code analysis, packaging and release activities, giving engineers useful early feedback.
• Focus on software quality across the lifecycle: testability, reproducible builds, version control, traceability and maintainability.
• Partner with software teams to turn real needs into effective platform improvements.
• Reduce repetitive manual work so teams can integrate and validate changes frequently and reliably.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Solid experience in software development in MATLAB and SIMULINK and agile practices at scale.
• Fluent English; highly organized, proactive and structured, with strong planning abilities.
• Responsible, self-driven, eager to innovate and learn, willing to collaborate in international teams and occasionally travel for business.

Required skills

• Programming in Bash, Git, Python, Go and C, besides MATLAB.
• Jenkins, jFrog Artifactory, Bitbucket, Jira and GitHub.
• NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Grafana.
