Senior Legal Counsel – Generalist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel (Generalist) to join our fully remote team. You will provide strategic legal support for our expansion into new jurisdictions and manage a broad portfolio of commercial agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Support corporate setup, local approvals, and launch activities in new markets.
• Draft, review, negotiate and maintain commercial contracts such as service, technology, vendor and partnership agreements.
• Lead cross‑functional legal workstreams together with compliance, operations, finance, technology and leadership teams.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into practical business recommendations.
• Handle licensing processes and ongoing legal matters in regulated jurisdictions (e.g., Malta, India, UAE/DIFC).
• Advise internal stakeholders on commercial, regulatory, employment and people‑related issues.
• Manage external counsel relationships to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective legal support.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with at least 7 years post‑qualification experience.
• Background in a leading international law firm or top‑tier regional practice.
• Proven ability to manage sophisticated multi‑jurisdictional matters independently.
• Commercially minded with strong communication skills in English and Russian.
