Senior GL Accountant

About the role

The Senior GL Accountant reports to the Record to Report manager and is responsible for preparing accurate financial and statutory statements in line with US GAAP and company policies. The role also supports management on financial, tax, and legal matters across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly and year‑end financial statements for North America entities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and reporting deadlines.
• Manage journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations while maintaining SOX compliance and supporting internal and external audits.
• Conduct balance‑sheet and P&L variance analyses, providing commentary and insights to finance controlling and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate 10‑K reporting, corporate tax questionnaires, SAB104 analysis and support multi‑element agreements.
• Review and improve process documentation to ensure business continuity and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in multinational companies or shared service centers.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or another ERP system.
• Advanced Excel skills.
