Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team responsible for building and operating highly scalable, secure, and reliable cloud‑native platforms. The role focuses on infrastructure automation, platform reliability, observability, and operational excellence in a modern Kubernetes‑centric environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS (and optionally Azure/Google Cloud).
• Drive reliability improvements using SRE practices such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
• Operate and optimise production Kubernetes clusters.
• Enhance observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, Splunk).
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortems.
• Support performance optimisation, scalability, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve deployment strategies and operational maturity.
• Apply security best practices (IAM, secret management, vulnerability management, patching).

Required profile

• Strong experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Hands‑on Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.
• Proven track record managing production Kubernetes environments.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Residency in Portugal.
