Senior Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

Thought Machine is building the next generation of banking technology in the cloud. As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer you will join a fast‑growing security engineering team to design, implement and evolve security solutions that protect both our products and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering, design and delivery of security solutions for cloud‑native platforms.
• Conduct threat modelling, review architecture designs and coding practices.
• Develop and maintain security tooling, automation and monitoring controls.
• Collaborate across product and infrastructure teams to integrate security best practices.
• Contribute to greenfield projects, creating innovative security approaches for new banking services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cloud security engineering, preferably in a fintech or high‑scale environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to design secure architectures and perform threat analysis.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Passion for building security solutions from the ground up.

Required skills

• Security engineering and threat modelling.
• Design and implementation of security controls and automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure security.
