Senior Business Analyst – Engineering

About the role

Airbus Portugal is seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Engineering to join its GBS team in Coimbra or Lisbon. You will work across engineering, manufacturing, and finance to drive performance, manage subcontracting strategies, and uncover operational risks.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Finance to optimise KPI frameworks, delivery plans, budgets and risk visibility.
• Oversee engineering service procurement, align with SCMs on Supplier Performance Review strategies and resolve goods receipt issues.
• Analyse workload and capacity data across NatCos and programmes to support resource allocation decisions.
• Identify operational risks and opportunities, synthesising mixed data into actionable recommendations.
• Lead local initiatives, standardise processes and mentor the team in lean management and Six Sigma.

Required profile

• Educational background in Business Management, Finance, Engineering or equivalent business analysis experience.
• Proven track record in business performance, engineering support or financial analysis with strong autonomy.
• Broad problem‑solving perspective and ability to drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Fluent English; additional languages (French, German, Spanish) are a plus.

Required skills

• Full mastery of Google Workspace tools, including ecosystem automation and coding.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel data architecture skills.
