Senior Backend Engineer (Python) – AI Product

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to help shape the core AI‑powered product of a fast‑growing software company based in Porto. You will join a tight‑knit engineering team and play a pivotal part in scaling backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems with real‑time capabilities.
• Own technical planning, architecture decisions, and execution of features.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, and Leadership teams.
• Drive best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend development experience, primarily with Python.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable system design.
• Experience working in a collaborative, fast‑paced product environment.
• Ownership mindset and strong problem‑solving abilities.
