About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to help shape the core AI‑powered product of a fast‑growing software company based in Porto. You will join a tight‑knit engineering team and play a pivotal part in scaling backend services.

Key responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems with real‑time capabilities.
Own technical planning, architecture decisions, and execution of features.
Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, and Leadership teams.
Drive best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure.

Required profile

5+ years of backend development experience, primarily with Python.
Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable system design.
Experience working in a collaborative, fast‑paced product environment.
Ownership mindset and strong problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

Python
AWS (cloud infrastructure)
