Senior Android Developer – Hybrid (São João da Madeira)

About the role

KCS IT is looking for a senior Android developer to join our hybrid team in São João da Madeira. You will work on diverse client projects, creating high‑quality mobile applications while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Implement UI with Jetpack Compose and follow Android design guidelines.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Apply architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVP.
• Write unit and UI tests to ensure code quality.
• Use dependency injection frameworks (Dagger/Hilt) to manage components.
• Collaborate with designers, product owners, and other developers through code reviews and agile ceremonies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience (senior level).
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Hands‑on experience with Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle.
• Solid understanding of MVVM or MVP architectural patterns.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with backend teams.
• Good knowledge of UI/UX principles and Android design guidelines.
• Familiarity with Git version control and testing frameworks.
• Experience with dependency injection (Dagger or Hilt).
