Retail Sales Associate (Part‑Time)

About the role

PetSmart is looking for enthusiastic part‑time Retail Sales Associates to join our stores. You will be the first point of contact for pet parents, helping them find the right products and providing a welcoming environment for both customers and the animals in our care.

Key responsibilities

• Greet pet parents, answer questions, and assist with purchases in‑store, over the phone, and online.
• Prepare online orders for pick‑up and ensure a smooth hand‑off.
• Care for store‑owned pets, including feeding, watering, and cleaning habitats.
• Maintain store cleanliness, follow safety standards, and support weekly price changes and promotional displays.
• Stock shelves, face merchandise, and recover items to meet visual standards.
• Promote special events such as adoption weekends, treats enrollment, and charity drives.
• Administer pet medications under veterinary direction and transport sick or injured pets to a vet when needed.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift merchandise.
