Retail Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to join Costaterra Golf & Ocean Club in Comporta, Portugal. In this position you will support daily shop operations, deliver excellent customer service, and help maintain a high‑standard retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist members and guests with purchases, returns, and special orders while delivering exceptional service.
• Support daily shop operations, including sales, merchandising, display rotation, and maintaining packaging standards.
• Process incoming merchandise, manage POS transactions, and monitor sales performance.
• Maintain accurate inventory through monthly stock procedures and report low‑ or high‑demand items.
• Keep retail supplies stocked and assist the Retail Supervisor with additional tasks as needed.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of retail or customer‑service experience, preferably in boutique, hospitality, or private‑club settings.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese with the ability to build rapport.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to work flexible schedules.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift items up to 20 kg.
