About the role
We are seeking a professional Receptionist to join our guest services team on an international luxury cruise line. The role involves delivering exceptional front‑desk service, handling guest enquiries, and supporting smooth daily operations throughout the voyage.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality guest service at the reception desk, addressing requests, enquiries and complaints promptly.
- Coordinate guest needs such as restaurant reservations, wake‑up calls, mail services, DVD/CD rentals and newspaper delivery.
- Assist guests with financial transactions, including cash payments, traveller’s checks, foreign‑currency exchange and credit‑card processing, and reconcile cash with the Financial Officer at the end of each cruise.
- Maintain communication with the Guest Relations Manager and other ship departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures and uphold moral integrity in all interactions.
Required profile
- Minimum two years of experience in guest‑facing or front‑desk roles within a 5‑star or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong administrative abilities, well‑organized, self‑motivated and capable of handling multiple demands under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written English; additional fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, German or French is highly desirable.
- Adaptable, quick‑thinking and able to make decisions while maintaining attention to detail.
