Quality Manager

About the role

Consolida Portugal, a Tier‑1 automotive supplier and IATF 16949 certified company, is looking for a Quality Manager to lead the Quality department and further develop its management system.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Quality team, overseeing inspection and control from incoming material to shipment.
• Maintain and improve the quality management system in line with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Implement control plans, ensure traceability and manage technical documentation.
• Review and validate product and process changes from a quality perspective.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to prevent deviations and drive process improvements.
• Plan and support internal and external audits, ensuring follow‑up on corrective actions.
• Monitor quality performance indicators and coordinate continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality roles, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Proficiency in core tools such as APQP, Control Plan, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC.
• Experience with 8D problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Organised, able to work independently and collaborate across departments.
