Quality Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Quality Engineer to join our team in Portugal. You will be responsible for ensuring product excellence across the full lifecycle, acting as the bridge between factories, R&D, purchasing and marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Apply quality tools such as FMEA to new and ongoing projects.
• Track and drive project maturity levels and conduct process audits.
• Identify quality risks, implement corrective actions and support safe product launches.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives for both new and existing products.
• Report, monitor and analyse quality performance metrics, including error rates and cost of quality.

Required profile

• Degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on quality management experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; experience with IATF 16949 is a plus.
• Familiarity with APQP and Stage‑Gate processes.
• Additional training such as auditor certification or Six Sigma is desirable.
• Fluent English communication skills.
