Quality Control Assistant (M/F)

About the role

The Quality Control Assistant will join the QC laboratory team in Lisbon, reporting to the QC Laboratory Manager. The role focuses on routine physicochemical and microbiological analyses that support the manufacturing of an FDA‑approved oral microbiome product.

Key responsibilities

• Perform physicochemical and microbiological tests on in‑process products following cGMP procedures.
• Sample raw materials, packaging components, and water for injectables (WFI) in compliance with established protocols.
• Conduct routine environmental monitoring of manufacturing and support areas.
• Assist QC investigations on deviations or out‑of‑specification events.
• Support the development of new assay protocols and ensure laboratory cleanliness and organization.

Required profile

• Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or a vocational certification in QC microbiology techniques.
• 1‑2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical QC environment.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and cGMP.
• Ability to work two shifts (08:00‑15:00 or 15:00‑01:00) and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
• Good team spirit and proficiency in English.
