QC Laboratory Technician

About the role

Lilly is seeking a QC Laboratory Technician to support critical quality control activities that ensure safe and effective medicines reach patients. The role involves performing microbiological testing on raw materials, finished products, water, and environmental samples while adhering to strict regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological assays, including identification of microorganisms, promotion of growth, electrophoresis, and phage detection.
• Perform filtration, prepare culture media, and execute other standard microbiology techniques.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as pH meters, analytical balances, and related instruments.
• Document results accurately and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and internal quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• High school diploma or associate degree in Microbiology, Medical Technology, Natural Sciences, Chemistry, or Biology.
• At least two years of experience in a laboratory or related environment.
• Knowledge of GMP and ability to follow established performance behaviors.
• Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.

Required skills

• Operation of pH meters and analytical balances.
• Filtration techniques and preparation of culture media.
• Microbiological identification, electrophoresis, and phage detection.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge.
