Purchasing Engineer – Heat Pump Water Heater Projects

About the role

As a Purchasing Engineer at Bosch Group in Aveiro, you will lead technical purchasing activities for new parts and components used in Heat Pump Water Heater development projects. You will act as the key interface between R&D and supply‑chain partners, ensuring timely delivery and cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical purchasing for new components, driving Time‑To‑Market processes.
• Conduct technical discussions and on‑site visits with suppliers.
• Monitor project milestones and produce transparent progress reports.
• Initiate preventative quality measures for new parts.
• Drive target costing initiatives, identify savings, support cost estimation and track cost developments.
• Prepare and execute supplier awards, aligning deliveries with project schedules.
• Contribute to innovation feasibility studies.

Required profile

• Degree in industrial, mechanical or manufacturing engineering (commercial qualification a plus).
• Approximately 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or engineering, preferably in commercial and project purchasing.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Structured, analytical work style with ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Proactive, collaborative, curious and solutions‑focused attitude.
