Purchasing Assistant

About the role

Airbus Portugal is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join its Airbus GBS team. The role covers ordering activities for procurement commodities across France, Germany, Spain, the UK and Portugal, including operational sourcing following the company's procurement processes and strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Review purchase requests (PRs)
• Create and update purchase orders (POs) and follow them up
• Carry out operational sourcing
• Handle service desk activities supporting internal stakeholders
• Maintain information records such as catalogues
• Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders (internal customers and buyers)
• Use Airbus ERP systems (SAP) and other tools (Coupa)

Required profile

• Fluent English; French, Spanish or German is a plus
• Customer-focused, able to prioritise in emergencies
• Eager to learn new tools and open to continuous improvement
• Reliable, rigorous and concentrated at work
• Comfortable in a dynamic, multicultural environment
• Supply chain and/or procurement experience is a plus
