Project Manager – International Development (Portugal)

About the role

As a Project Manager for Testo in Portugal you will own the delivery of international development projects, ensuring the product is delivered as a coherent whole. You will work closely with development teams in Germany and China, bridging hardware, software and quality disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of international development projects, coordinating with headquarters in Germany and the development site in China.
• Lead cross‑functional teams covering hardware, embedded software, quality assurance, production and product management.
• Maintain a system‑level view of the product, analyse interactions between subsystems and identify systemic risks.
• Critically evaluate progress reports, quality assessments and technical dependencies, forming independent judgments.
• Proactively manage risks, define concrete mitigation measures and ensure their resolution.
• Present project status, risks and decision proposals to top management clearly and concisely.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, stakeholders and executive board, adapting tone and detail as needed.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external partners across development, quality, production and marketing.

Required profile

• Degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of how hardware, embedded software and quality interact within a product.
• Ability to assess technical information, make independent decisions and push back when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills for all organisational levels.
