Project Manager – Airspace Mobility Solutions

About the role

Thales is seeking a Project Manager to join its Airspace Mobility Solutions team in Paço de Arcos, Portugal. You will lead international projects that shape the future of Air Traffic Management, working closely with customers and global engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget, high‑quality outcomes that meet customer satisfaction and financial targets.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, subcontractors, and global engineering groups to guarantee successful execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and contractual compliance.
• Monitor project performance, manage risks, implement mitigation plans, and adhere to Thales Project Management governance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and business growth.
• Support bid and proposal activities by contributing competitive, high‑quality project plans aligned with Thales governance.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Bid Manager.
• Strong knowledge of project management and systems engineering, including planning, risk, procurement, and financial management.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management and cross‑functional coordination abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Professional proficiency in English and willingness to travel.
• IPMA or equivalent certification (preferred).
