Profit and Loss Controller

About the role

The Profit and Loss (P&L) Controller will join the Global Markets Product Control team, supporting trading desks across multiple locations. The role is responsible for producing, validating and explaining daily economic P&L figures, ensuring accuracy and timely sign‑off.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and validate official economic P&L numbers and related P&L explanations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies with the Front Office, including market moves and new deals.
• Review risk‑based market P&L, analyse gaps, and document findings.
• Submit P&L for trader sign‑off and manage split of liquidity and rate effects for ALMT perimeters.
• Perform hedge accounting controls where applicable.
• Challenge and improve existing processes while maintaining high ethical standards.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in banking or financial operations.
• Fluent English (C1‑C2 level).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Access database proficiency.
