Tax Expert – Franchise Network (Lisbon)

About the role

As a Tax Expert for SIXT's franchise network, you will ensure tax compliance across multiple countries, work closely with franchise colleagues and external advisors, and become the go‑to authority on withholding tax and VAT matters.

Key responsibilities

• Review foreign withholding tax certificates and reconcile them with franchise agreements.
• Analyse tax reports from external advisors, assess obligations, and prepare compliance summaries for franchise teams.
• Coordinate with franchise leadership and advisors on tax‑related contract reviews and fee‑structure optimisation.
• Manage relationships with local tax advisors, oversee foreign VAT compliance and respond to audit inquiries.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in international tax, especially withholding tax and VAT.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Proactive, autonomous work style with the ability to know when to escalate issues.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using SAP for tax data processing.
