Procurement Lead

About the role

Bloq.it is looking for a Procurement Lead to drive the sourcing strategy for its fast‑growing smart locker production. You will be responsible for securing high‑quality materials at the right cost while supporting rapid scale‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a sourcing strategy aligned with company objectives and budget constraints.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure a reliable supply chain.
• Monitor supplier performance and launch improvement initiatives for quality, delivery, and cost.
• Guarantee that all purchased components meet defined quality standards and specifications.
• Resolve quality issues with suppliers quickly and effectively.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production needs while minimizing carrying costs.
• Produce regular reports on purchasing performance and cost analysis.
• Collaborate with production, logistics and maintenance teams to align procurement with schedules.
• Negotiate price reductions and contract terms that reflect company goals.
• Identify alternative suppliers to mitigate risk.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Lead Buyer, Sourcing Manager or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field; MBA is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese, both written and spoken.
• Highly organized, process‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience leading teams and scaling procurement functions from scratch is advantageous.
