O2C Specialist Collections – French Speaker

About the role

The O2C Specialist Collections will support Sodexo Business Services Portugal in managing cash flow, reducing overdue balances and ensuring accurate payment allocation. The role requires fluent French to interact with French‑speaking customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Gather remittance information and allocate payments accurately.
• Support cash collection targets and provide portfolio status updates.
• Handle customer queries, escalations and maintain strong relationships.
• Process write‑offs and adjustments with proper documentation.
• Proactively follow up with customer Accounts Payable for invoice approvals and payments.
• Execute dunning workflow, send reminders, statements and dunning letters.
• Reconcile contra accounts and manage customer refunds.
• Resolve invoice disputes in collaboration with Operations and finance teams.
• Analyse AR aging reports, monitor overdue balances and prepare debt review insights.
• Prepare and lead credit committee or debt call presentations.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, local finance and customers.
• Perform reconciliations, invoice validation and deliver regular debtor reports.
• Support litigation, bankruptcy and risk assessment processes.

Required profile

• Fluent French (spoken and written).
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
