Night‑Shift Hostel Receptionist

About the role

Join the night‑shift reception team at one of Faro’s most popular hostels. You will be the first point of contact for guests arriving late, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth operations throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient front‑desk service, handling check‑ins, check‑outs, bookings and payments.
• Manage general office duties such as responding to emails and processing reservations.
• Maintain the smooth running of the reception area and support front‑of‑house operations.
• Address guest complaints promptly and courteously, working with colleagues to find solutions.
• Take guest orders and serve beverages and refreshments according to hostel protocols.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with travellers or in a hospitality setting.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and solve problems quickly.
• Strong communication skills in Portuguese and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Enjoy interacting with the public and collaborating within a team.
• Willingness to work night‑shifts.
