Microbiology Specialist – Cleanroom Production

About the role

Join Coloplast’s new manufacturing site for the Continence Care segment in Portugal as a Microbiology Specialist. You will ensure the production environment meets strict quality standards, safeguarding user safety and product integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage quality processes in cleanroom production and support cleanroom validation activities.
• Support the microbiological laboratory, supervise equipment and perform microbiological assays.
• Ensure compliance with MDSAP and internal standards.
• Collaborate with HR to train employees and external staff.
• Investigate non‑conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare quality documentation and reports.
• Participate in internal audits.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in Microbiology or a related field (B.Sc. or higher).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accredited laboratories (medical‑device experience a plus).
• Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques and procedures.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English (additional languages a plus).
