Mechanical Development Engineer – Heat Pumps

About the role

Join Bosch's cross‑functional product development team in Aveiro to design and develop residential heat‑pump solutions that deliver class‑leading performance and reduce carbon emissions.

Key responsibilities

• Specify, calculate, simulate and physically test advanced heat‑pump components and systems.
• Author technical specifications, lead discussions with global suppliers and create robust validation plans.
• Coordinate market‑introduction activities, support production ramp‑up and secure product certifications.
• Apply engineering tools such as FMEA, 8D and DRBFM to optimise the product portfolio and drive quality.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in component sizing, selection and hands‑on laboratory validation, preferably in HVAC.
• Structured, analytical and data‑driven approach with a proactive, result‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent written and spoken English and willingness to travel occasionally.
