Mechanical Design Engineer – Intralogistics

About the role

Advannor is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its intralogistics engineering team. You will design material handling systems such as conveyors, sortation lines, automated storage and retrieval (AS/RS) and palletising solutions for warehousing and distribution automation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and detail mechanical designs for material handling and warehouse automation systems using 2D and 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Inventor or similar).
• Design components and sub‑assemblies for conveyors, sortation equipment, AS/RS and palletising machines.
• Support integration between mechanical design and control/WMS‑WCS systems, collaborating closely with automation engineers.
• Participate in concept development, design reviews and technical discussions with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, bills of materials and technical drawings.
• Understand client layout, throughput and operational requirements to ensure suitable solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience or strong interest in material handling / intralogistics systems (conveyors, AS/RS, etc.).
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software – AutoCAD, Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, essential for remote/international collaboration.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working closely with automation and controls teams on integrated system design.
