Mechanic – 4th Shift Production Equipment

About the role

As a Mechanic on the 4th shift, you will maintain, repair, and improve high‑speed automatic production equipment used in medical device manufacturing. Working with minimal supervision, you will also mentor fellow technicians and support equipment design and installation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, debug, modify, and repair all mechanical devices and drive units on automated assembly lines.
• Identify mechanical versus electrical failures and guide other maintenance staff in resolution.
• Collaborate on TPM, 5S, equipment monitoring (EM), and preventive maintenance (PM) to meet ISO standards.
• Mentor and train maintenance personnel, raising skill levels and preparing them to train others.
• Work with the maintenance department to manage labor, material, and spare‑part budgets.
• Provide training on equipment changes and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
• Perform set‑up operator duties when required and handle any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Associate degree or vocational diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Mechanics (preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience repairing industrial automated equipment, preferably in medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
• Willingness to travel for training.
• Availability for the 4th‑shift schedule: Friday‑Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
