Manager, Employee Relations Services

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Employee Relations Services to join its Global Employee Relations team in Portugal. The role works closely with People Business Partners, employment law, compliance and business stakeholders to ensure fair and consistent performance management across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in administering the performance management process and ensure timely completion of evaluations.
• Provide guidance to employees and managers on using performance management tools and systems.
• Respond to inquiries related to performance issues and support conflict resolution.
• Participate in investigations concerning performance concerns and employee complaints.
• Prepare performance‑related documentation such as coaching plans and probation decisions.
• Coordinate training sessions for managers on performance management best practices.
• Advise People Business Partners and the business on probation extensions, failures and related policies.
• Partner with internal employment counsel, compliance and People Business Partners to manage employee relations matters.
• Build cross‑functional relationships across geographies and drive process improvements to enhance the employee experience.
