Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor leads all maintenance and facility operations at Haworth's Queluz plant, ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient production equipment, utilities, and infrastructure. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to support uninterrupted manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance activities for production equipment, utilities, and plant facilities including electricity, water, gas, steam, lighting, piping, air compressors, forklifts, and air‑conditioning systems.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and facility issues to minimise downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and standard operating procedures.
• Manage maintenance documentation such as work orders, purchase orders, schedules, and asset records.
• Lead facility improvement projects, renovations, layout changes, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Support equipment installations and guide subcontractors during maintenance activities.
• Train operators and technicians on machine care, preventive maintenance, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance of meters, valves, and systems with safety regulations.
• Drive corrective actions and continuous‑improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in facilities and maintenance operations.
• Previous supervisory experience in a multinational manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Proven experience managing maintenance projects and facility‑improvement initiatives.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Fluent English communication skills are an advantage.
