Project Buyer

About the role

As a Project Buyer you will manage procurement activities for new product development within Grohe’s sanitary solutions division. Working from our Albergaria site, you will collaborate with global teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders to meet cost, quality and schedule targets for projects spanning Europe, the US, China and Thailand.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project purchasing for new product development, ensuring timely material availability.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for project components and assemblies.
• Conduct international purchasing, select suppliers and lead contract negotiations.
• Request, analyse and negotiate supplier quotations to achieve cost efficiency.
• Monitor market trends, pricing and technology developments.
• Support cost‑optimisation and complexity‑reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate between project and series purchasing teams and track sample schedules.
• Maintain project documentation, cost tracking and supplier performance records.
• Participate in global project meetings and contribute to product launch success.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in project buying.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience in an international environment.
• Fluent English; Portuguese is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of SAP (advantage).
