Legal Counsel – Licensing & Corporate Setup

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to support our licensing and corporate setup activities across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth legal and compliance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal support for company formations and ongoing maintenance in jurisdictions such as Estonia, UK, Cyprus, Poland, Latvia and others.
• Open and maintain bank accounts, complete required forms, and liaise with compliance teams.
• Prepare and update questionnaires, applications, legal, corporate and financial documents, presentations and reports.
• Maintain internal registers, organize documentation and ensure records are current.
• Coordinate with international law firms, corporate secretaries, accountants and auditors.
• Serve as the main contact for information flow on corporate setups among Legal, Business Development, Partners, Merchants, Finance and AML & Compliance departments.
• Conduct legal research on corporate and regulatory matters in the relevant jurisdictions.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects related to corporate setups and financial licensing.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal, project‑management or compliance role.
• University degree in Law, Economics, Management or a related field.
• Strong understanding of AML/KYC procedures.
• Ability to devise solutions for non‑standard cases and prioritize work effectively.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Fluency in Russian and English.
• International tax optimisation experience is a plus.
