Know Your Client Data Officer – French Speaker

About the role

The Know Your Client (KYC) Data Officer is responsible for gathering client data and documentation to build a complete KYC file, supporting due‑diligence assessments for prospective and existing clients.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and prepare onboarding or recertification KYC processes, explaining BNP Paribas procedures to clients.
• Conduct initial checks against internal databases to determine existing KYC information and required documents.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to compile regulatory documents (FATCA, AEOI, MiFID) and perform gap analysis.
• Prepare and send a “Kick‑off pack” containing all required onboarding/recertification documents.
• Collect, organise, and validate client documents, ensuring consistency with internal guidelines and local multi‑site requirements.
• Review tax and regulatory documents when regulatory control is absent.
• Enter or update data in scoring grids and other systems based on documentary analysis.
• Create document waivers with Relationship Managers and escalate high‑risk cases.
• Upload documents, capture data, and manage ownership structures and related persons in the system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Finance or Accounting.
• Up to 2 years of experience in legal, banking or financial operations.
• Knowledge of compliance and KYC processes.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, client focus and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Compliance Vigilance tool.
