Junior Software Developer

About the role

Wire IT, a specialized IT consulting partner based in Portugal, is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join its agile, people‑centered team. The position is hybrid, located in Lisbon, and offers the opportunity to work on existing applications, fix bugs, develop new features and support releases.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing software applications.
• Identify, diagnose and fix bugs in a timely manner.
• Develop new features following project specifications.
• Participate in release cycles and ensure smooth deployments.
• Collaborate with senior developers and cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in a similar software development role.
• Solid understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming principles.
• Proficiency in C# and basic knowledge of web development.
• Experience with ASP.NET (Views/MVC) and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Python is a plus.
• Good problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and strong communication skills in technical English.
