Junior Research Associate

About the role

FairJourney Biologics is seeking a Junior Research Associate to support the development of overexpressing, knockout, and reporter stable cell lines used in antibody discovery. You will work in a state‑of‑the‑art laboratory in Porto, executing experiments and collaborating with senior scientists to achieve project milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laboratory experiments, including reagent preparation, sample handling, and data analysis.
• Maintain detailed documentation and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) rigorously.
• Communicate progress and challenges clearly with team members and supervisors.
• Prepare and present project reports.
• Assist senior team members with experimental setup and day‑to‑day lab operations to ensure smooth workflow.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, data analysis, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise.
