Junior Construction Manager – Fibre Optic Projects in Germany

About the role

We are looking for a German‑speaking Junior Construction Manager to join an international contractor delivering fibre‑optic civil works across Germany. The position rotates between sites in North‑Rhine Westphalia (Düsseldorf, Essen) and Munich/Bavaria, offering exposure to large‑scale digital infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor site activities, schedules and coordinate work crews (approximately 8 civil workers).
• Lead daily execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Collaborate with telecom providers, manage documentation and reporting.
• Oversee material, equipment and vehicle logistics, and deploy workforce each day.
• Ensure compliance with local permits, HSE regulations and safety standards.
• Identify risks, control costs and optimise resource allocation.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil, Structural, Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous on‑site construction experience is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• EU citizenship.
• Leadership qualities, organisational skills and adaptability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
