Junior Civil Engineer – Structures (Renewable Energy)

About the role

Quadrante is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to strengthen its Energy Business Unit in Porto. The position focuses on structural engineering for renewable energy infrastructure, including substations, wind and solar projects, and energy storage facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of civil infrastructure for substations, renewable energy projects and related works.
• Design technical solutions that meet client requirements while complying with regulations.
• Prepare technical, design and project specification reports for structural works, earthworks, drainage and road alignments.
• Create 3D models of access roads and platforms using AutoCAD Civil 3D to support earthworks and site layout.
• Perform structural calculations and detailing for foundations, fencing, cable trenches and other structures.
• Produce conceptual studies and drawings to guide the project team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimized engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with project delivery deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Interest in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, energy storage).
• Strong communication, teamwork and autonomy.
• Attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of Robot, Revit and/or PVcase (advantage).
