Junior Android Mobile Developer

About the role

As a Junior Mobile Android Software Developer you will join a collaborative Agile team working on the Bosch Smart Home Android application. You will contribute to feature development while continuously expanding your technical expertise in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Android features within an Agile team.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Support testing, debugging, and refactoring activities.
• Assist in maintaining and improving the application, including occasional support tasks.
• Learn from experienced developers and grow your technical skills.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on Android development experience.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, attention to quality, and ability to work well in a team.
• Curious, proactive and collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• Kotlin and Java programming.
• XML layouts and exposure to Jetpack Compose.
• Asynchronous programming with Coroutines and Flows.
• MVVM or MVP architectural patterns.
• Basic knowledge of Test‑Driven Development (TDD).
• Android Studio / IntelliJ, Git, Gradle, JUnit, Jenkins, SonarQube.
• Koin (or similar) and Android Jetpack components.
• Interest in AI tools such as GitHub Copilot (optional).
