IT Project Manager & Support

About the role

Airbus Portugal is looking for an IT Project Manager & Support professional to lead and deliver complex IT projects from launch to Go‑Live. You will work in a hybrid model, coordinating cross‑functional and international teams to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, cost and quality targets while achieving user acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive projects to successful Go‑Live, ensuring on‑time, on‑scope and on‑budget delivery.
• Build and maintain an agile project team throughout all phases.
• Integrate lessons learned, manage risks and opportunities, and oversee contract management with partners and suppliers.
• Represent the project across the organisation and communicate service‑related updates to customers.
• Monitor project performance, control schedules, costs and resources, and apply change‑management methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in strategic or program procurement and complex IT roll‑outs involving several hundred users.
• Proven ability to work in evolving, multifunctional, international environments.
• Fluent English at negotiation level; additional languages (French, German, Spanish) are a plus.

Required skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Proficiency with PM tools and Value Stream Management.
• Strong knowledge of change management, risk assessment and contract management.
