IT Internal Auditor – Junior Internal Audit

About the role

Haitong Bank is seeking a motivated Junior IT Internal Auditor to join its Internal Audit Department in Lisbon. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you will support senior auditors in delivering high‑quality IT audit engagements across the bank’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist auditors in planning, executing, and reporting IT audit assignments.
• Perform follow‑up actions and ensure remediation of identified issues.
• Prepare, organize, and file audit work papers in line with professional standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies and tools.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Managing Information Systems or Cybersecurity.
• 3–4 years of experience in IT audit, preferably within the banking sector.
• Strong analytical problem‑solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude, sense of ownership and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Fluent written and spoken English with good communication skills.

Required skills

• IT audit techniques and frameworks.
• CISA certification (or equivalent) – a plus.
• CISSP certification – a plus.
• ISO 27001 knowledge – a plus.
• Cybersecurity fundamentals.
