IT Customer Support Specialist – 1st/2nd Level

About the role

Testo, a global leader in measurement technology, is expanding its IT operations in Portugal. As an IT Customer Support Specialist you will provide first and second‑level technical assistance to international service teams and customers, ensuring smooth IT services and contributing to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Handle technical inquiries via email, phone or ticketing system and resolve 1st & 2nd level issues.
• Provide remote assistance using shared desktop tools and support field technicians during installations.
• Manage incidents and service requests, track progress and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Administer user accounts and access rights, ensuring system availability.
• Create and maintain knowledge‑base articles for efficient problem solving.
• Support IT‑related projects and coordinate external service providers.
• Collaborate with R&D, product management, sales, quality and subject‑matter experts.

Required profile

• Vocational training or degree in IT, telecommunications or a related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Strong communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of cloud‑based systems and environments.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, DNS and DHCP.
• Basic knowledge of cloud‑based databases.
• Proficiency with remote desktop/shared desktop tools.
