HR Operations Manager (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Operations Manager to lead our global HR Operations team. The role combines deep knowledge of German or Portuguese and international labour law with hands‑on HRIS and payroll expertise, ensuring smooth operations across multiple hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a small HR Operations team, set objectives and monitor performance.
• Act as primary contact for the HRIS vendor, manage system updates and ensure data integrity.
• Oversee German payroll processing and compliance, and supervise payroll activities for other hubs.
• Coordinate with finance and external vendors (payroll, insurance, tax, social security) to ensure accurate reporting and budgeting.
• Ensure HR processes comply with German and international labour laws, conduct internal audits and implement improvements.
• Generate regular and ad‑hoc HR reports and provide data‑driven insights to management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing HR Operations in a multi‑hub, international environment.
• Strong knowledge of German (or Portuguese) and international labour legislation.
• Hands‑on expertise with HRIS platforms and payroll processing.
• Ability to drive compliance, automation and process optimisation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
