HR Advisor, Europe

About the role

The HR Advisor, Europe will act as a business partner to people managers across the continent, providing day‑to‑day HR support to help them attract, develop, motivate and retain talent. This hybrid role is based in Porto, with three days on‑site and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, investigations and conflict resolution.
• Deliver onboarding experiences and manage the employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies and GDPR.
• Review, develop and implement HR policies and procedures to align with organisational objectives across Europe.
• Support payroll and benefits administration, offering guidance on company benefits.
• Promote wellbeing, engagement, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, coordinating occupational health referrals and return‑to‑work support.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for HR systems (HRIS, LMS, Engagement Hub), maintaining data integrity and driving continuous improvement.
• Plan and deliver employee engagement activities, including annual events, learning initiatives and programmes that foster an inclusive culture.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of European employment law and HR best practices.
• Collaborative style with the ability to influence and devise creative solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Professional handling of sensitive and confidential information.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and propose future solutions.
• Experience working across multiple European countries.
